COVID-19 Services & Programs

We know that this time has brought many disruptions to Hawaii’s families. We are sharing information about emergency child care and meal services as we receive it. The services provided are not directly through the Executive Office on Early Learning, so any questions about them should be directed to the organization providing it (e.g. Kamaaina Kids, YMCA). We will continue to update this page with information on emergency care and meals from our trusted partners.

Child Care for Essential Workers

Many of our local families include people who are considered essential workers. Deemed an essential service, child care is a vital resource for families of essential workers. The Department of Human Services (DHS) contractor PATCH is working with child care providers to identify which licensed child care centers are still open and accepting families of essential workers.
We are providing information about care for children younger than kindergarten. Other providers (e.g. YMCA and Kroc Center) are providing care for school-aged children.
